We want to help patients feel prepared and confident before their first visit. Here’s everything you need to know to help things go smoothly:
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement. Athletic wear or loose-fitting clothes work best.
- Bring a photo ID and an insurance card so the front desk team can confirm coverage.
- Bring any relevant medical records, current medications, reports, or imaging when available. This helps our team understand your overall health needs.
- Complete new patient intake forms before you arrive, as this helps save time. These forms help us understand your medical history, current symptoms, and activity goals.
- If you can’t complete forms ahead of time, arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to fill them out in the clinic.
Understanding Direct Access
Washington’s direct access laws allow patients to see a physical therapist without a physician referral. Our physical therapists can evaluate movement, identify impairments, and determine whether physical therapy is appropriate. This allows you to begin care sooner and with fewer delays.
However, some insurance plans may request a referral after a certain number of visits or for ongoing care. Our administrative team can help you understand your plan requirements.
